In the word ‘Invulnerable,’ I hope to illuminate a central paradox: Under no circumstances can a person be absolutely invulnerable, but by owning one’s vulnerabilities, by being in their vulnerabilities (pardon the pun), one induces their community to treat them as kin — to shore up those vulnerabilities with complementary strengths.

To quote ‘Lucky Stars,’ the first track on ‘Invulnerable’: When it comes to vulnerabilities, ‘show me yours and I’ll show you mine.’

Humdinger/Folksinger

Dustin Lowman's mission is to share with his worldly cohort the results of his sessions in the inner sanctum. In doing so, he hopes to affect a spirit of commiseration between himself and his audience. His songs are comedic, tragic, absurd, naturalistic, traditional, and heretical; ultimately, they speak to the glory of man, and not his decay. Lowman believes that man decays perfectly well on his own, but has a less easy time glorifying himself. He invites you to observe what his quest for the perfect song has yielded up.
